"Make Believe Voyage" by James Lumbers

When I was a young boy there was an old launch beached near our summer home It became the centre of our childhood adventures for the season. We tinkered with the engine, now stilled with rust and hardened grease. The decaying wood suggested the battles that this wreck must have gone through.
While on a trip to the Maritimes, I saw this old fishing boat and two young boys preparing for their make-believe journey. It brought back a wonderful memory for me and it only proves that things never really change.
